Empower your Journey to Mental Health and Wellbeing
Do persistent thoughts, intense emotions, or recurring patterns of behavior interfere with your daily life or impact your relationships and career aspirations? Many thoughtful individuals experience these challenges. I provide a direct, evidence-based approach to help you gain clarity, develop effective strategies, and build the resilience needed to move past these obstacles and thrive.
I’m Susan
My journey to social work began stemmed from my career as an educator. Teaching provided me with the opportunity to discover the power of communication, connection, and growth. Passion and my curious nature led me to pursue a Masters of Social Work degree from New York University. As a social worker, I am part of a profession deeply committed to social justice, which informs my dedication to accessible, non-discriminatory, and empowering care for everyone. As a result of my previous career, I am skilled at breaking down complex ideas into clear, meaningful insights and recognizing the many ways people learn, process, grow, and a belief that empowering individuals through small practical shifts can lead to powerful lasting change. I gained invaluable clinical experience training and providing care in an inpatient psychiatric hospital supporting individuals through acute mental health crises. This intense, fast-paced environment gave me a deep understanding of a wide range of diagnoses and human experiences. Providing care in a community mental health clinic, providing essential, accessible care to diverse clients facing various mental health challenges, enriched my experience. Since 2018, I’ve been in private practice, offering personalized therapy to individuals across Florida, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. My approach is grounded in empathy, evidence-based strategies, and a genuine belief in each person’s capacity for transformation. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space where you can feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow—at your own pace and on your own terms.

More About Me
Beyond the therapy room, I find balance and perspective through spending time with family and friends, as well as reading, traveling, and swimming. The calm rhythm of mindful knitting reminds me of the beauty in slowing down and being present. These personal joys keep me grounded and focused.
